Chocolate Maple Pecan Pie
Total Time: Prep – 10 min. Bake – 35-40 min.
½ cup sugar
1 cup pure maple syrup
3 tablespoons butter, melted
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan halves
½ cup of mini or regular chocolate chips
1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until smooth. Add the maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla, salt, pecans, and chocolate chips and stir to mix. Pour into the pastry shell. Bake at 375 degree preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 8 servings.
